She was an icon of African hip-hop, Goldie Harvey left us this Thursday, February 14, 2013 at the young age of 31 years following an overwhelming malaise.
Kennis Music label its said yesterday Friday, February 15 via a press release that the singer had died while returning from a trip to the United States where she went to attend the Grammy Awards. "With deep sadness we announce the passing of our beloved music star Goldie Harvey", they released after the drama.
If the cause of death is still uncertain, the label indicates, however, that the star had complained of painful headaches and she died on the way to the hospital.
Goldie Harvey was made known in Nigeria and on the African continent in 2010 with the album Gold and has since won several awards including a Top Naija Music Award. In 2012, the star had marked the spirits even participating in the reality show Big Brother Africa and is currently working on her new album, The Africa Invasion Album.
